Designed by local architect and Montford resident Michael McDonough and built by J&N Construction led by Jeremy McCowan, this Preservation Society 2003 Griffin Award-winning home was inspired by the eclectic historic character of the Montford neighborhood. The 2-story home dwelling has a clipped side gable roof with a front cross gable creating a striking and unique roofline. A wide porch creates a welcoming entry into an interior which is refreshingly modern yet compatible in detail and materials with the surrounding historic homes. The spacious interior is filled with light, showing off the owners’ collection of fine local art. Overall, the thoughtful design of this home truly accommodates the best of modern family life.
